Why has Windows live's email extention on hotmail addtess now changed from ...@windowslive.com to ...@live.com?

I don't get it? seriously, cause I have just made my (new) email address g.adams@windowslive.com, which makes sense cause its part of a windows live service. But now when making a new windows live/hotmail account they have just ditched the windows part in the windows live extention and it now reads ----@live.com. .Why the change it to just ------@live.com? I don't get it?

It is simply a marketing decision by Microsoft.





Microsoft was/is hoping to link Passport to Live and drop the Microsoft moniker because Passport accesses a lot more than Microsoft content.
