Most sites require an alternate email address. If you forget your password then there is no way to receive it in your primary address. This is just an added safety precaution to keep anyone from getting into your account. Yahoo allows you to answer the secret question if you do not have an alternate.
If they require an alternate and you do not have one then you are out of luck. Create a new account.
