Can anyone suggest a good free email provider that is not Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL or Google?
use the one provided by your ISP, you can usually create more than one which is useful if you want to become a stalker or a hermit

Reply:if you are a technician or professional of some kind try techemail.com. They're very good and no spam.
Reply:A service I pay for (but which does allow free use too - though puts an advert at the bottom of outgoing mail, if you use them for free) is Fastmail.

They have a lot of alternative domain names, such as fastmail.co.uk myfastmail.com swift-mail.com warpmail.net and many more...

Another (which you can use to forward incoming mail to an ISP mail address) is HotPOP.com which also has other domain names (GameBox.net, SexMagnet, com, ToughGuy.net and a few more)

Up to a point, I agree with Sapphire though...

Why are the ones you've listed (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo) unsuitable, please?

I can understand AOL - they seem to be filtering who can send mail to AOL mailboxes, and might be restrictive in other ways too.
