How do i change email name in hotmail? example..?

... i have a hotmail account example yipee@hotmail.com. Now I want to change it to another name example yipper@hotmail.com but not to lose the records in my account, just want the account name changed and retain all info. thanks

Unfortunately, you can't do that.

"Your sign-in name can't be changed after you create your account. If you want a new sign-in name, you must create a new account."
Reply:You would have to make a completely different email address. Once you make one, you can't change it at all. Just save your contacts list and transfer it over.
