I got an email from windows-data@hotmail.com and I'm suspicious...?

I got an email saying that my account will be deleted unless I provide them with my username, password, date of birth, and location.

I've been tricked similarly before and I do not want it to happen again. Let me know if anyone has gotten such an email.

I got an email from windows-data@hotmail.com and I'm suspicious...?
It's what called phishing, i.e. spoof e-mail which makes you think it's from hotmail. Send a copy of the email to abuse@hotmail.com and immediately delete it from your pc.
Reply:It is called phishing, sending a fake email, to a fake site. Dont do it. What is your email, I will give you a fake email within a week. I dont have the software with me. DONT EVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE INTERNET. Dont go to the site either. It will probally download a trojan and a keylogger as well.
Reply:I haven't gotten an email like this but I can safely say that you do not want to respond to it. If it really came from windows it would say microsoft.com at the end. Needless to say just delete the email.
Reply:Phishing scam, hoping that you will provide the information and then the criminals will steal your idenity.
